Because Darija & Pero live in Peračko Blato, a small town in the far south of Croatia, we didn’t have a chance to meet personally prior to the wedding. Therefore, I arrived there two days before the wedding to try and make them feel more comfortable around me. The company of their family and friends made me feel like I belonged there. The mesmerizing scenery that characterizes southern Dalmatia and the hospitality I felt while staying with Darija & Pero left a trace in my heart. Though the weather forecast predicted rain, the sun shone brightly as they said “I do” in the garden of their home.
